Thank you for your encouragement brother. Luther has been a big help to me lately on this idea you mention of believing what God says of us regardless of how we feel. It is easier to talk about than to practice, and so I need to be reminded of it constantly! What a refuge our Father’s Word is for his children.

Thank you for this excellent and encouraging post. I am especially grateful you used the word “feel” so much. I think it’s often hard and discouraging when I don’t immediately feel as the Bible tells us me I should- yet nevertheless, the truth and concreteness of God’s Word stands! Thanks for applying this passage and often troubling experience so well. What an encouraging word to start off the day!
