Sanctification as Jigsaw Puzzle

“Ann Lamott says of her conversion to belief in God:

‘I felt changed, and a little crazy. But though I was still like a strained and slightly buckled jigsaw puzzle with some pieces missing, now there were at least a few broken pieces in place.’

Jigsaw puzzles take time to complete, and this process, when the image is applied to the Christian life, is identified as sanctification.”

David Garland, Luke (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2012), 382-383.
