True unity comes down from above

“Behold! How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

… it is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard…

running down on the collar of his robes…

…it is like the dew of Herman which falls on the mountains of Zion! (Psalm 133)”

…true unity, like all good gifts, is from above; bestowed rather than contrived, a blessing far more than an achievement.

Derek Kidner, Psalms 73-150 (Downer’s Grove: IVP, 1973), 453.

It seems to begin with leadership, running down the beard…from the head down! Bless leaders in the home, the church, the community, the nation. Great post, thank you as always, mom

  2. Graham says:

And of course unity was first found in the trinity! If both zealots and tax collectors got along as Jesus’ disciples, I guess we don’t have any excuses do we?
